World Record Event - Volunteer Info

Friday 19th January & Saturday 20th January, 2024


Help make this event a huge success!

Who We Need:

10 x Volunteers for Pre-Event Set Up (two mornings)

What: set up 50 x pools, set up fencing around event area, set up the event stage, fill ice into the pools, sign in participants and ensure their waivers have been completed prior to handing them their participant wrist band, and any other jobs required on the day.

When: Friday January 19th from 7am until all set up is completed (hopefully before 1pm) & Saturday January 20th from 7am – 12pm noon (at commencement of attempt).

 

20 x Official Guinness World Records Stewards 

What: sign in participants and ensure their waivers have been completed prior to handing them their participant wrist band, then monitor assigned 1-3 pools to sign off on official Guinness paperwork how many participants stayed in the ice bath up to their necks for the full three minutes. You will be given an offical t-shirt with the word ‘Steward’ so please inform us beforehand of your size for the order.

When: Saturday January 20th from 9am until 1pm (*and must attend mandatory briefing at 10am*)

Please Note: You cannot participate in the Ice Bath if you volunteer for this role.

 

10 x Volunteers for Post-Event Pack Up

What: assist with packing up the pools and cleaning up post event.

When: Saturday January 20th from 1pm until clean up is complete (hopefully before 3pm).

 

All volunteer jobs listed above will be located at Leighton Beach – in front of the Fremantle Surf Lifesaving Club – 20 Leighton Beach Boulevard, North Fremantle.
